The Gravette Public Library is pleased to bring StoryWalk® to Hiwasse Park. The 18 displays along the 1/4 mile walking path contain pages of a picture book. You can read a story as you walk along the path. Sometimes you will find questions that spark conversations. By the time you've walked the entire circle, you've read a book. The stories will be changed periodically by library staff.
This project was a collaborative effort of the Gravette Public Library, the Gravette Parks Department, and the Gravette Police Department with support from the Friends of the Gravette Public Library, the Gravette Community Foundation and the City of Gravette. The project was funded by a private donation and funds from the American Rescue Plan Act as administered by the Institute of Museum and Library Services and the Arkansas State Library.
The Greater Gravette Chamber of Commerce has scheduled a ribbon cutting at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 7th. We hope to see you at Hiwasse Park!
